If I had just listened to you 5 years ago...

Well, Nikita last night was absolutely fantastic! After the heart-pounding cliffhanger that they left us with over a month ago, I think that every single fan just could not wait until it came back. We were rewarded for our patience as well. Now, I'm going to attempt to keep this spoiler-free, in case you want to go and watch this show (which you should), but if I slip-up, I apologize. I will try and have a bolded warning if there's not other way I can say it!!

Last episode, the one before the break, was definitely a psychological drama-esque episode. It also reminded me of Inception. It wasn't hard to follow, but you really had to be paying attention. If you miss one little thing you'll be left confused.

Five Years Ago...
This episode starts off with a flashback to Nikita's first overseas mission (with Michael). Pretty funny minute, but it takes a turn from there when it flashes back to the present time. For what is probably the second time (if you count the ONE tear she shed before), Nikita is found vulnerable and cries. She has 24 hours to complete this new mission or she will *essentially* be destroyed.  The only problem with this mission is that the only way that she will have a chance at completing it is to get in contact with people who hate her. And when I say hate her, I don't mean the silly "I hate you" drama that most people would expect. I mean the "I want to kill you" type thing.  Anyways, this episode centers around that mission, and how she handles it.
Obviously, the person who set the mission for her is in for it, because Nikita knows how to play hardball as well. There is little footage of Alex, but after a completely Alex-centric episode that is not too surprising. She's got herself into a tight spot, and it'll be interesting to find out how she gets out of it, or if she makes it out at all.

This episode contains what is probably one of the most shocking/unexpected twists to the story, but also not that surprising if you look very very closely at events that have happened up until now. The ending is completely expected, for the most part, due to the shocking twist. However, it remains to be seen if things will stay as they are. Chances are they won't, because that would have no drama or suspense in the rest of the season! We want the drama right? Right.

Needless to say, this episode was quite good, and I urge you to watch Nikita! It's on Thursdays at 9pm, on the CW and a few other channels!

Still-left-breathless,
Jessa
